Question: We do something that gives us energy or we do something that puts our energy down. Can this be an indicator of what should be done or not?
Acharya Prashant: You look at the case of a terrorist or a serial killer or a mercenary, he surely has a lot of energy because event after event he is continuing with his gruesome acts. So it is not as if he doesn’t have energy. So, energy is no indicator.
Have you ever seen a violent man, drunk and violent, going around, creating chaos, does he not have energy? He has more energy than probably you have.
Energy is no indicator.
What matters is the centre from where your energy is arising.
You take only a small ball of uranium, it is a mass of immense energy. This uranium can either flatten this city or empower this city—it can give enough electricity to light up this city. Both are energies. The energy that a nuclear bomb releases is the energy and the energy that is released and channelized in a nuclear reactor and becomes electricity is also the energy. Both are energies.
So, it is not energy per se that matters; what matters is from where is the energy arising.
Is the energy arising from the mind of the benevolent scientist who wants to have the technology that could help the mankind or is the energy arising from the command of the blood-thirsty head of state who wants to destroy the enemy.
The killer has a lot of energy and the savior too has a lot of energy. But the killer is the killer and the savior is the savior. What matters is – who is the Energetic One?
Who exactly is the energetic one, whose energy is it?
In all those childish movies, don’t you have the fight of good versus bad? Batman is fighting evil; Superman is fighting evil and the evil too has a lot of energy, so has Superman. Both are energetic.
Does energy matters?
What matters is – who is this energetic one?
What is his centre?

Milestones to Success
While innumerable books have been penned down by contemporary motivational speakers and writers on success, ambition, motivation, positive thinking and accomplishments; very few books, if any at all, have talked of what success actually is and how it is different from a socially-defined set of parameters.
Author’s genius lies in the fact that he has very simply answered the most intricate and complex questions that arise in the mind of every student and working professional, giving clarity on success, a topic that haunts them perpetually.
Each one of us deserves the Truth. So, we made a conscious choice: to keep our work open for all, regardless of whether they can afford to donate.
A tremendous body of our work – around 10,000 videos, 3000 articles, and more – has been made freely available to all on the internet. Just one piece of statistic to put in perspective the magnitude of our charitable work: Around a million minutes of video content is consumed daily by our viewers on YouTube alone, absolutely for free.
This would not be possible without financial contributions from our audiences, who support our work from around the world.
We have upheld our independence in the face of the disintegration of genuine spirituality – with more and more contemporary spiritual content being just disguised commercialism, consumptionism, and egoism. We refuse to belong to any lineage or tradition, we refuse to identify with any ideology or community, nor do we pander to base sentiments to gain followership or financial assistance. This enables us to freely say the truth without inhibition.
Your financial support has meant we can continue to keep bringing you the truth and the undiluted essence of the scriptures. You have supported our independence, and we are grateful.
We need your support so we can keep bringing the truth to you. Any amount contributed by you towards our noble cause is valuable.
We need your support so we can keep bringing the truth to you. Support us from as little as $5 – it only takes a minute.
