If you can’t dance with a stranger, then you can’t dance || Acharya Prashant (2016)

Whenever you feel that what you are experiencing is exotic, other worldly, then just put it to this test – ‘Will this happen in deep sleep? Will this happen after death?’ You say you have had an encounter with God, ask yourself – ‘Can it happen without the brain?’ It is real only if it does not need the brain. Can it happen if your brain is smashed? Can it happen, even if you are given sleeping pills? Now it is so disappointing, because whatever you conceive as enlightenment or awakening or whatever, can never happen when you are comatose. So, all the lure is gone.

Beware the man who thinks he understands

Think hard, but think without concluding.

If you have concluded, then the entire thought condenses itself in the conclusion and sits comfortably in the mind.

If you can let the strongest thought pass away without leaving its debris behind, well, you understand.

‘Appa Deepo Bhav’ is an invitation to merge into the Guru, the Self || Acharya Prashant (2015)

The Guru is bound to appear to you in some physical form, initially, because you take yourself to be a physical form.

When the world is material and physical for you, obviously, the Guru too would be material and physical.

But a point comes when the physicality is transcended. Then it becomes pointless to keep looking outside towards the Guru with your physical eyes.
