The Guru is not a person

What is this thing called the mind? The Mind is nothing but the field of the ego. The environment around the ego. The center of the mind is the ego. When the ego is with the Truth, then the center of the mind becomes the Truth. Wherever the ego is, there the mind is. The mind does nothing except serve the interests of the ego.

Put your ego in the right place and the mind will be right.

Put your ego with the Truth. Put your ego in the Heart, and then the mind will function very properly.

Why do we often require somebody’s company? || Acharya Prashant (2014)

When you are dependent upon somebody, it is violence, you could not be loving that person. There too the relationship is of hatred. No slave ever loves his master, how can you love somebody who has enslaved you? How can you love somebody who has taken away your freedom? So all around we are caught in a web of slavery. And a very peculiar aspect of this is that those from whom we seek sanction, they are not strangers — they are strangers as well — but mostly they are the people we claim to be intimate with.

Honesty- a direct uncorrupted movement from Self to action || Acharya Prashant (2014)

No, honesty is not a policy. Honesty is your uncorrupted way of living. Where there is a direct beautiful movement from the self to the mind, from the mind to the thoughts, from thoughts to action, that is honesty. Nothing is getting corrupted at any stage. There is no leakage. There is no pilferage. It starts as pure essence and ends as pure action. It starts as pure essence and ultimately flowers as pure action. Nothing dilutes it in between.
