On Anger, observation, middle path, and right action || Acharya Prashant (2016)

When the Buddha said the ‘middle path,’ he said that all the pairs of dualities; an extreme means an end.

When he said, “not this’, “not this,” what he meant was the pair of opposites.

All pair of dualities are your own mental fiction.

Watch them! Carefully.

The middle path does not mean that presented with “this” and “this”, you will walk here.

The Middle path means, “neither this, nor this.”

What makes India spiritual? || Acharya Prashant (2016)

When you come across a different culture, it is sometimes likable by virtue of its being different. Sometimes things are attractive just because they are not the same as what you are accustomed to. If you live in Chile or Germany or Ireland, you might just be plain bored by seeing the same kind of faces, the same kind of culture, the same kind of movies and the same lifestyle. So when you go to a different land and you see different kinds of people, different colours, different language, different flora and fauna, different food, different scents, a different way of being, then it naturally looks a little attractive. But this attraction will fade away, it is just like wearing new clothes which are attractive only for a few days. Just as one place becomes boring, soon India too will become boring, right?

Get to that India which is always fresh. Get to that India which you will carry with you in your Heart.

India and Tolerance || Acharya Prashant (2017)

So, if you’ll ask me, “What is Bharat?”
I will wait for you to look at the snow capped Himalayas. And then, when your eyes would be shining with wonderment, then I will say, “That is Bharat!”
Or when you would be reading The Upanishads, and your mind would suddenly be getting lighter and your face would have a sudden radiance and you would have felt for yourself, deeply in your heart what it meant to say, ‘Poornah midah; poornah-midam’.
Then I will say, “That! That is Bharat.”
