Acharya Prashant, with students: Freedom from expectations || (2012)

Is it any wonder that when you are taking lakhs and lakhs and lakhs from a person, that person automatically now gets the right to decide your future. When he is giving you so much doesn’t he now get the right to have a decisive say in the future?

Nobody can make you a slave without your consent.

Freedom does not come free. Freedom has to be earned. Are you prepared to earn your freedom?

~ Acharya Prashant

Do not try to be aware in ‘some’ situations || Acharya Prashant (2018)

When anger strikes you, or fear, or suspicion, that is the moment, when the slumbering consciousness wakes up a little. It realises that it has been attacked. So, it asks for help. That is almost like asking for help, after house has caught fire.

Prevent the house from catching the fire. Thatis almost like asking for help, after you had a heart attack. Now, the cardiac arrest is there. What is the maximum that can be done?

Great damage has already happened.

Why not live the life, in which the possibility of cardiac arrest is the minimum?

Be watchful.

Look at how the body, mind machine operates.

It’s fun to watch.

Watch regularly.

And watch specially, when you are happy or pleased.

The real meaning of devoting one’s action to Shri Krishna || Acharya Prashant (2018)

Your practice, as you have said, is to pay little attention to your selfish motives. And you try to offer everything to divine. This is what you practice. As far as the practice of not giving importance or weightage to one’s desires or motives is there, it is a good practice. One has to treat oneself a little casually. One cannot take himself seriously. Nobody deserves to be taken seriously, at least not by himself. Others might be deluded because, they don’t know you. Others may take you very seriously but how can you take yourself seriously?

You know, who you are. And by that I do not mean Atman or Brahman. You know, you are the one who keeps itching at all the wrong places. You know, you are the one, who is so frequently visited by all the base desires.

You really want yourself to take seriously?

It is a great spiritual practice to not to take oneself seriously.

The only solution to Climate Change || Acharya Prashant (2018)

We all know, that the biggest threat facing this planet, mankind, today is catastrophic climate change and there are huge international conferences in which all kinds of diverse measures are discussed and then there is a slew of recommendations. Experts, the so-called most intelligent people on the planet, come together and wreck their brains to come up with solutions.

But nobody ever dares to call out the huge elephant in the room…

How to recover from a break-up? || Acharya Prashant (2017)

You do not want a person, so that he may cause you disturbance. When you want a person, you actually want peace and contentment through that person. Don’t you? Or do you invite a person to your life so that he may harass you? Why do you open your doors to somebody?

Because that person promises to be the vehicle of contentment, peace. Right?

You very well know, what you open your doors to. Are you opening your doors to contentment?

Contentment has more value than any relationship. Relationships are a medium, contentment is the end. Relationships are mere mediums. There are like roads, they must lead to contentment. They must contain contentment. If there is no contentment in the relationship, why do you want that relationship?

What I say to you depends upon who you are || Acharya Prashant (2015)

I am not giving two at all, I am giving just one depending on whether you are Joe or Jim. If you are the conditioned one, I am saying, you are nothing but conditioning. And if you are not the conditioning one, I am saying you are much more than your conditioning.

But, if you are gathering both the statements, then it only means that you are a collector of statements
