What is Zen? A clean plate || Acharya Prashant (2016)

Zen, is a total dissociation, every moment. Every moment is complete in itself, leaves no residue behind. I have no obsession with the past because the past is, complete and closed. I have nothing to give to the future because right now, I have no fear. I am not living in incompleteness. There is nothing that would get rolled over to the future.

A dirty plate is a dirty mind. It is carrying traces. It is carrying stuff from somewhere else. Go clean the plate. And since this happens to be the one and only thing, hence it is more surprise that the monk gets instantly enlightened. After all, what remains after this? If your plate is clean, if your mind is clean, what is left to be done? What is left to be done?

Shut Up || Acharya Prashant (2017)

Let life be the ground of your experiment. Look at the small group of people that you really value. Value not because they are with you due to social convention or some other obligation; people with whom you can really be one with; people with whom your mind really resonate. Did they enter your life as per some plan? Think of your favorite restaurant, how did you stumble upon it? The best place you have been to? The best sites you have encountered? I am talking of natural sites. The most uplifting moments you have had? All of them remember, falls in the zone of the unknown. Has the unknown really been so unfair or cruel, is it out to harm you?

What you call as normal is abnormal, and also highly insane || Acahrya Prashant (2016)

Masses are herds. They live in crowds. So, if they find that a thousand have been ignited by the touch of the saint, then they might probably want to be the thousandth-first. But to be the first to listen to a saint, requires something saintly within the watcher, within the listener, within the follower, that is rare, doesn’t come out quite easily. So, in general, a Ramakrishna or a Mahavir is unlikely to get social approval.

Is our life destined and pre-planned || Acahrya Prashant (2016)

Destiny and planning are not the same thing. Nothing is pre-planned. You can proceed as per your planning but if your planning is not in sync with the destiny, then your plans will only give you more suffering. You are free to do whatever to do. You can go right, you can go left. But if you must go right, and you go left, then going left, you will keep suffering.

~Acharya Prashant

You are not Brahm, neither are you the Witness || Acharya Prashant (2016)

Is life not happening life on its own?

Do you really have to approach this moment?

What are you doing right now?

Do you really have to do anything right now?

And without doing anything haven’t this last one and one and a half hours not beautifully passed?

Have you really been doing anything?

Then, why are you so worried that if I don’t do anything, what will happen to life?

Life has its own ways and intelligence, you don’t need to worry.

~Acharya Prashant

The result of action can neither enhance you nor reduce you || Acharya Prashant (2016)

If you look for Joy out there, you can keep looking. And looking is such a past time. Your entire life can pass in looking.

My task is to disappoint you.

You will not get it there.

Not because it is impossible to get it but because you already have it.
