How important is intuition? || Acharya Prashant, on Guru Granth Sahib (2019)

Whatever the mind does is very noticeable because there is a lot of friction and a lot of noise contained in it.

When the mind does something, it is always with a lot of noise, and fanfare, and show, and demonstration.

When it happens from the True Self, it happens with a great felicity, with a great ease.

It is smooth.

You cannot notice it.

It is almost a non-happening.

That is ‘sahajtaa’.

To know your intentions, watch your actions || Acharya Prashant (2017)

if you just look at how we behave, react, respond these little things then you will know what is lurking within, what is trying to hide.

That is why facts are important. See where you spend your time that will tell your time. See where you spend your money that will tell of your intention. Money is a very important indicator. See where you spend your money and where you do not spend your money. See where you want to cut corners and see where you want to be lavish.

See where somebody spending his time. These are the two things that you very greatly valued. Don’t you? Money, time and if you come with little more observant, see what is going on in your mind. See, what circulates your mind that will tell you of your intention.

How to know the subconscious mind? || Acharya Prashant (2016)

The more you will see the shadows of your subconscious in your everyday behavior, the more your mind will become free of those shadows. The more you will start seeing that you live in fear, the more you will find that fear as an illusion. So, don’t hesitate. Don’t just label something as dark, unknowable, hiding in the subconscious and therefore justify your separation, your distance from it.

Every bit of subconscious expresses and reveals itself in your conscious behavior. There is nothing in the subconscious that is really hidden. Your actions, your everyday living, your thoughts, if you are attentive to them will show everything that is contained even in the deepest corners of the mind. And once it is ‘seen’, it is gone. It is like being afraid of something which is not there. Once you have ‘seen’ that thing which is not there, that thing is gone.

What is karma? Does the subconscious exist? || Acharya Prashant (2016)

Be totally free of the past, and have no eye on the future. Which means that now you get all the freedom to play around with past and future. Because they are meaningless to you, they are harmless, they are like jokes now. So you can indulge in them. That’s the great thing about not wanting anything—when you don’t want anything, you can play around with everything.

The one who has no stake in the past, can now go into memories, wallow in memories, bathe in memories, and study all history, without getting influenced. And the one who has no expectations, or fear from the future, can now speculate, project, imagine, without letting the future overwhelm him.

Only the one who is deeply surrendered to the present, gets the rights to be the master of the past and the future.
