Beware the man who thinks he understands

Think hard, but think without concluding.

If you have concluded, then the entire thought condenses itself in the conclusion and sits comfortably in the mind.

If you can let the strongest thought pass away without leaving its debris behind, well, you understand.

Shri Prashant is commencing the second leg of his ‘Myth Demolition Tour’ at Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh.

Make your reservations!

What is meant by right thinking and wrong thinking?

All that human mind has, comes from somebody else. All your notions of right and wrong come from others. At your age, should you not inquire from where you have obtained these notions of right and wrong? Somebody told them to you. Right? Somebody else told you that always speak the truth, don’t lie, don’t hurt others, respect your elders, and that is right, and if you steal, then that is wrong.

The power of desire is the power you are using to suppress it

Only the ego wants to correct mistakes. The fundamental mistake is ego itself. || Acharya Prashant (2015)

You will never own up your mistakes. You will be brought to a point where you will have no option but to see that you have been an idiot. You will be left option-less.

Till the time you have an option, you will exercise it. Till the time you have an option, you will only choose the ego because only the ego has options. What else will you choose?

Willingly, it is never going to happen. Never, ever! And those for whom it is happening willingly, it is not really happening. If it is happening willingly for you, then it is not really happening. Then it means that it is a part of your internal conspiracy.

Live fully, die fully, and then come alive, again, and again… || Acharya Prashant (2013)

A Zen monk has said that, “When I eat, I eat; when I walk, I walk; when sleep, I sleep.”
We live in a different way.
When we walk then we are talking in our heads.
When we are eating then we are planning ‘when am I going to study’.
And there is a great deal of parallel actions going on, obviously which is imaginary.
In reality, actions can never be parallel.
Existence does not allow multi-tasking. It says, “One thing at a time.”
